The Creative Academy is for the perpetually curious. The programme is designed to inspire personal creativity to help catapult young talents to the next level of their career.

Who is it for?

Students come from traditional creative advertising roles such as: Art Directors, Copywriters, Graphic/UX Designers but the programme welcomes talent from other creative disciplines including film, journalism, PR, tech innovations and brand communications.

Companies like JWT, Y&R, BBDO, Wunderman, Leo Burnett, Pixar, Disney, Red Bull, Al Jazera have all trained at the Young Creative Academy.

You should be

  • Under 30 Years of age (as of June 22, 2019)
  • Have at least 18 months of industry experience
  • Fluent English speaker

Bob Isherwood, Former Worldwide Creative Director of Saatchi & Saatchi

The former Worldwide Creative Director of Saatchi & Saatchi, Bob’s work has been documented in many books and endorsed by the industry’s most prestigious national and international award shows. He won Australia’s first Gold Lion for cinema at the Cannes International Advertising Festival and is one of the few people to have ever won a British Design and Art Direction gold award for advertising. Bob has been elected to the Clio Hall of Fame in the US, the Writers and Art Directors Hall of Fame in Australia and holds an honorary doctorate in communications from RMIT University.

He has served as President of the Film and Press and Poster juries at the Cannes International Advertising Festival and has been the Dean of the Young Creative Academy since 2012.

Lindsay Lamb, Freelancer and Previous Creative Academy Graduate

Lindsay was selected to participate in the first ever Young Creative Academy in 2012 and has since worked as a writer for AKQA New York, as well as Silicon Valley startups at Draper University and clients, such as Google.
